Sydenhurst Residential Care Home

Welcome

Sydenhurst is a private home which provides residential care to older people of all nationalities who have varying levels of independence. We offer a home for life which means that should mental or physical difficulties reduce independence, we can provide a level of care which ensures they stay independent for as long as possible.

Sydenhurst occupies a large converted country house set in 30 acres of peaceful Surrey countryside close to the village of Chiddingfold. The Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain purchased it in 1949 to provide care to Ukrainian combatants wounded during the Second World War. Whilst still owned by the Association, it now provides residential care for older people of all cultures. We are proud of our heritage which has shaped and moulded the diversity of the Home.

We offer a friendly, welcoming home which is committed wholeheartedly to putting our residents first and keeping institutionalising to the minimum. Our philosophy is one of respect for each individual - their dignity, beliefs and independence. And to live life, to have fun.
