Living at Sydenhurst
Visitors
Family and friends can visit Sydenhurst at any time. If you plan to arrive after
11pm
or earlier than
7am
a telephone call to let us know is appreciated. If you would like to stay, we have a visitor’s room available for short stays that can be booked through the office. A nominal charge may be made.
Day’s out are something we all look forward to and we encourage families, where possible, to plan these regularly. We do however ask that you let a senior member of staff know before you leave and, if possible, when you expect to return to assist us with our fire procedures.
Religious Services
Sydenhurst is home to people with wide ranging religious beliefs and cultural values. We are committed to enabling all residents to practice their faith in an environment of mutual tolerance and respect. Visits to a place of worship or visits by a religious person can be arranged as required, or we are able to offer quiet areas for spiritual reflection. Plans for a dedicated religious building within the grounds are now well advanced.
Programme of Social Activities
Sydenhurst has its own transport which takes residents to local day centres twice a week. We also offer a range of activities on a daily basis which are open to everyone. Activities are agreed at the Home Management Meetings by a majority vote of the residents.
