Resident Care

Key Workers work closely with families and residents to actively involve them in developing a Care Plan.  This Plan sets out agreed individual choices, preferences and any daily living or personal care support required.  It is reviewed regularly to ensure that the service we provide is in line with individual needs and expectations.   We also like to include information about hobbies and interests.  Delivery of newspapers and magazines, visits by a hairdresser or personal shopping can be arranged as required.

All homes need the active participation of family members to ensure that it is run for the benefit of those living there.  Sydenhurst is no different.  Once a month we hold a Home Management Meeting where we encourage residents to contribute their ideas and suggestions and to be actively involved in the management of their ‘home from home’.

Sydenhurst provides a high level of care for older people within a wide range of independence or dependence.  Where residents have early onset of a mental health condition or a physical disability we work hard with them to ensure that they stay independent for as long as possible.  We can provide specialist care in our Dementia Care Unit.
